By downloading, installing, or using the Cedrus mobile application or website (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Cedrus.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, specifically UAE Federal Law No. 1 of 2006 on Electronic Commerce and Transactions, and any other applicable UAE federal laws.

All information provided through Cedrus, including AI-generated insights, is for informational and educational purposes only. You should not make any financial, investment, or trading decisions based solely on information provided by Cedrus.

Before making any investment decisions, you should consult a qualified and licensed financial advisor registered with the UAE Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA), the UAE Central Bank, or the relevant regulatory authority in your country of residence.

Cedrus is not licensed as a financial advisor, broker, investment manager, or any regulated financial entity by the UAE Central Bank, UAE SCA, DFSA, FSRA, or any other regulatory body in the UAE or GCC.

4. Eligibility & Account Registration

You must be at least 18 years of age to use Cedrus. By creating an account, you confirm that you are 18 or older. If we discover that a user is under 18, we will terminate their account immediately.

5. Subscription & Billing

5.1 Free Trial

New users receive a 30-day free trial with full access to all features. No credit card is required to start the trial. At the end of the trial period, access to premium features will require a paid subscription.

5.2 Paid Subscription

After the free trial, Cedrus operates on a subscription model. Subscription fees, billing cycles, and available plans are displayed within the application and on our website. All prices are listed in USD unless otherwise stated.

5.3 Billing & Payments

Payments are processed securely through Stripe. By providing payment information, you authorise us to charge your payment method for the applicable subscription fees. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled.

5.4 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through the app settings or by contacting us at support@cedrus.finance. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not provide refunds for partial billing periods.

5.5 Refund Policy

Given the 30-day free trial, we do not offer refunds on paid subscriptions. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us within 14 days of the charge at support@cedrus.finance.

5.6 Price Changes

We reserve the right to change subscription pricing. We will provide at least 30 days' notice before any price increase takes effect, via email and in-app notification.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial purposes. This licence does not include the right to:

8. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

8.1 Service Provided "As Is"

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

8.2 Accuracy of Data

Market price data displayed in the app is sourced from third-party providers and may be delayed or inaccurate. Cedrus makes no representations as to the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any market data. Do not rely on Cedrus for real-time trading decisions.

8.3 Service Availability

We do not guarantee that the Service will be available at all times. The Service may be interrupted for maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.

8.4 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by UAE law, Cedrus and its officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or financial losses arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

Our total liability to you for any claims arising from use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to Cedrus in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at support@cedrus.finance. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

10. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates, without regard to conflict of law principles.

10.1 Dispute Resolution

In the event of any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of the Service, the parties agree to first attempt to resolve the dispute through good-faith negotiation by contacting us at legal@cedrus.finance.

10.2 Jurisdiction

If a dispute cannot be resolved through negotiation within 30 days, both parties agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of the Emirate of Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

10.3 GCC Users

Users accessing the Service from other GCC countries acknowledge that UAE law governs these Terms. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under the laws of your country of residence.
